0.x — pre-release, no compatibility promise yet.What this means

What this is: tm, the command line that ships with the Python SDK. When you need it: a quick look, a shell script, a CSV of a saved view.

tm --version
  • Output: a table by default, --json for raw objects.
  • Organization: --org falls back to TASKADENCE_ORG, or to your organization when you have exactly one.
  • Token: from TASKADENCE_TOKEN, else the OS keyring, else ~/.config/taskadence/config.toml (mode 600, written only when no keyring is available or with --no-keyring); tm only ever prints its 12-character prefix.
  • Names: tm and taskadence are the same command. Access tokens start with tkd_live_ / tkd_test_; tokens minted before the rename (tm_live_ / tm_test_) keep working, and so do the pre-rename environment variables (with a deprecation warning) — see the CHANGELOG (5.8).
  • Exit codes: 0 success, 1 an API or connection error (the problem is printed with its request_id), 2 a usage error.
